As your skills improve you may want to test yourself in competition. Most clubs hold one or more regattas during their sailing season. Some are mostly local, some attract skippers from nearby clubs, others are statewide, or pit clubs against one another. Regional and National Championships bring together people from a wide region and, best of all, anyone can sail in them!
While sailing is what brings people together for regattas, it's often the people we meet who make it worth the trip.
